Opiniony Post [14 Jul 2007|01:30am]

powerout
Hi there, I know this community is practically dead but I just wanted to voice my unhappiness with AIH at the moment. I understand and respect that bands want to make money, and I don'think it means a band has sold out or any such business... BUT BUT BUT, AIH have just torn out my heart strings.

Fingers Crossed is such an amazing album and means so much to me. I have continually loved the whole album start to finish since it came out. After a certain point you really do form such strong connections to an album and a song. The song Souvenirs really is so magical, it feels like lazy summers, fireflies and starry skies.
Seeing it in this horrendous Sprint commercial at 1 in the morning just made me swell up with an awful feeling.

Yes, when I was a kid I dreamt of Sprint cellular phone service! What a magical world we live in. I know it's not anyones fault, but I will immediately associate it with Sprint. It really is the perfect song for an advertisement like that, it conveys the exact mood they're looking for. It just won't really sound as innocent again.

This knot in my stomach is intensified by the fact that their new album is for all intents and purposes unlistenable. It's not the band I fell in love with.I'm not really being fair to the album. Exploring new ground is a-okay, and they should be applauded I suppose.

Maybe Isobel and Tara will start a new band? Does anyone know the details of their split?

So I was watching Cutting Edge's (a documentary/current affairs program) excellent documentary on Google and they played a bit of One Heavy February. How very random!

I haven't been keeping tabs on the members of this community, so if you're new, please say hello!

Hi, everyone. I don't mean to fill this community up with my spam, but I posted something here a few weeks ago and thought I'd try again now.

I'm looking for a ticket to the AiH show in Toronto this Saturday. If you know someone who might be trying to get rid of a ticket or two, or if you have any ideas as to where I might be able to find a ticket, pleeeease let me know. I'm getting really desperate here!

So, I find myself more in love with this group everytime I listen to them.

I burnt both albums on one cd, and I breeze right through the whole thing, their talent amazes me.

That's really all I have to say, I don't know any cute trivia about their tour dates or the members or anything, haha.

Hey everyone! I recently got into Architecture in Helsinki, and I found out just last week about their Horseshow Tavern show in Toronto in May. I stupidly decided to wait until I'd heard back from my sister before I bought tickets even though I had a feeling I shouldn't waste any time; now they're sold out and I am kicking myself.

Does anyone know where I might have some luck finding a couple of extra tickets? I'm new to the world of AIH, so any helpful hints you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking at the sundance film festival site
and they had the full length short film animated by Isobel Knowles
(she did alot more, listed in the credits)
strange bizarre and a bit morbid...

cool.

slow news days nowadays.
i got bored and since i generally hate cell phones
and disliked mine with a stupid mirror on it,
i did what any sane minded person would do and spray painted it.
